Spring is the best time of year almost anywhere in the world.Bay area has a unique climate and is almost always nice and that makes it special and very desirable to live in.
Of all the cities in The Bay,Oakland probably has the nicest weather,always a little warmer than SF but generally very mild and no homes here have air conditioning.
So with our unique climate,we have the flowers that are more suitable in this climate and of course ,they look their best in the spring.Peonies and Lilacs that are popular by
many,don't do as good here as they need the colder winters.Some of the flowers that we have in Oakland that look great this time of year and going into summer,
Hibiscus,Hydrangeas,Cymbidium and Oncidium orchids,Columbine,Birds of Paradise,All kinds of Palm,Tulip tree,Begonia,Salvia,Japanese Maple,Calla Lilies,Dahlias,Sun flowers,ranunculus and many more.
Sometimes I am dazzled by seeing beautiful Yarrow flower,Marigold or Pin cushion proteas just in the yards or side of the streets!Also we are home to great varieties of succulents or Cactus.
Seulberger Florist has been the local florist in Oakland ,Ca for over 100 years.Started out as flower growers and changed to retail florist in early 1900's.
