An arrangement of flowers is not weighed and it is very rare that the number of flowers are counted.
When the flowers are purchased by a florist from the wholesalers, they usually have a certain count in the bunch, mostly 10 stems in a bunch or roses are 25 in a bunch.Pricing at the shop is fairly straightforward when it comes to a dozen roses or so many of the same flower.
But in many situations ,it is by how it feels to the eye.Of course a larger arrangement is always more money, but there are other factors and variables.
The container, the quality and freshness of the flowers and very importantly the artistic touches and at the end how beautiful it looks to the eye of the customer.Proper communication with the customer to know what they like and what the recipient likes, the occasion and the situation and of course their budget is all very important.
Sometimes the flowers look good but are only going to last for a few days and maybe that is all the customer needs,so you could give them more for their money.
Sometimes they want something that is not in season and you still get it for them and it cost you more and of course you should be able to pass the extra cost onto the customer.
Many times a great fresh flower is abundant and so you get a good deal and you can be more generous.
Sometimes a customer wants something more specific that would take a bigger effort to make, well they should know and be willing to pay extra for it.
